Winter
Winter brings out a very different aspect of Cornwall that
cannot be underestimated. The landscape, and particularly
the coast, takes on a much more dramatic hue, with seas that
pound relentlessly against the rugged cliffs and windswept
beaches.
It is the perfect time to experience nature at its most powerful
with bracing walks along empty beaches or over desolate moors
to exhilarate and recharge you. Listening to tales of wrecking
and smuggling, told around an open fire in a pub with a pint
of real ale, brings the magic of the county to life and draws
you in to its colourful history.
There are many attractions that remain open all year and
many ways to spend your time. Alternatively, you could simply
defeat the elements by snuggling up in front of the log burner
in the warmth and cosiness of The Parlour.
